Patricia Kelly {aka Rea), the founder of THE ANOINTED WORD (TAW), accepted the calling of the Great Commission. Since that time, the Holy Spirit invited her to take this commission a step further by creating a web-site for God where she can reach the world and share what the Holy Spirit places in her spirit and teach how to “See the World Through God's Eyes." With much prayer, fasting, meditation, bible study, listening, and walking with God, "TAW" was born on February 22, 2018. Rea was given her name by the Holy Spirit in a dream. It is a Hebrew name which means “Friend.” She is truly a friend of God and a friend to all mankind.
Rea has been called to be God’s Intercessor. An intercessor is an individual who intercedes (prays) for individuals who Satans has assigned demonic spirits against individuals in order to block the will of God for their lives. She is one who goes into Satan’s kingdom by binding him, breaking Satan’s strongholds, loosing the individual so they are able to do God’s will for their life, casting out demonic spirits (evil spirits) such as the spirit of lying, the spirit of envy, the spirit of jealousy, the spirit unforgiveness, the spirit of hatred, the spirit of fear, the spirit of anger, etc.
Rea was born in Sacramento, California on February 9 to Rodell Kelly (father) and Alma Jean Griffin (mother). She was raised by her paternal grandmother, Lillian Inez Glass, a godly praying bible believing woman, who practiced her faith and obedience to God daily, and provided Rea a solid spiritual foundation on which to build her life.
Rea accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of ten after attending a local church revival meeting preached by Dr. Carl J. Anderson, Senior Pastor of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church located in Oakland, CA. And hosted by St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Sacramento, CA. Rea was very active in many church activities at her church, New Testament Baptist Church, North Highlands, CA. She was a member of the church choir and held the office of Choir President for several years. She also assisted Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church during Sunday School services by performing secretarial duties to Sunday School Superintendent, teaching Sunday School classes to all age groups from toddlers to adults, participating in church plays, and playing the piano for Sunday School Services.
Rea graduated with honors from Grant Union High School in Sacramento, CA; Dean's Honor List from American River College with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration (concentration Accounting and Information Systems), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (concentration Accounting and Information Systems) from California State University, Sacramento.} Her future endeavor is to complete the requirements for a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Counseling.
While attending college, Rea was blessed to work in the accounting and information technology field for the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. She was active in many community activities and non-profit programs. For her efforts, she received several certificates of appreciations and outstanding job performance awards such as United States Coast Guard Presidential Unit Citation, three United States Coast Guard Unit Meritorious Commendations, Exceptional Work Performance Award, Special Act Award, Academic Awards, Scholarships, Leadership Award from National University, Alameda County Community Food Bank Service Award, and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
It was through these lifelong experiences the Holy Spirit began teaching Rea in order to prepare and equip her with the wisdom, knowledge. skills, and abilities necessary to fulfill her calling and spiritual destiny to help others going through life tests and trials, and how to see the world through God’s eyes and become victorious in all they do.
"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the
Friend of God," James 2:23
Mission Statement
To help the world struggling with life issues and teach them how to heal the mind, body, and soul through biblical counseling supported by “the anointed word” of God. Plus learn to hear the voice of God and do his will.
Vision Statement
We believe God commissioned all Christians to go out and make disciples of all men for Jesus Christ. Our vision is:
The Scriptures – The Holy Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God. We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. That God has preserved His Word from the beginning of time. Therefore, the Bible is our final authority concerning all matters of faith and practice. The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by this website. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21). All sixty-six books of the Bible are complete. We believe that God's Word does not need correcting, updating, changing, or rewritten for any reason.
The Trinity
We believe that there is only one true and living God without division of nature, essence, or being but who reveals Himself to us in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who was made provision for the redemption of mankind from sin, and will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who exalts Christ, convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God; he sinned, bringing not only physical death to all mankind, but also spiritual death and separation from God. Now all mankind is totally depraved, having inherited a sinful nature; is bent toward sinning; and has become sinful in thought, word, and deed but has been given "free will" to choose eternal life with Christ or eternal death with Satan.
Satan
We believe that Satan is the instigator of evil and a real spirit being, not simply the personification of evil. He is a fallen angel who, under the sovereign permission of God, has been given temporary rulership of the earth. He was utterly defeated at the cross, but the execution of his judgment has been postponed by God until after the Millennial Kingdom when he will be cast into the eternal lake of fire. In the meantime, he deceives the world and seeks to establish his counterfeit kingdom on earth to discredit and blaspheme God and to tempt, accuse, attack and destroy believers. He can be resisted by the believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Salvation
We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. We believe that salvation Is totally a gift of God brought to man by grace through faith, not of works. Salvation is offered to all mankind, that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins; and shed his precious blood at Calvary, was buried, and rose again the third day. Jesus is our Substitute for our redemption, which thereby paid our sin debt and purchased our salvation for us; and that all who place their faith in Him are saved by His shed blood.
Baptism
We believe in scriptural Baptism. Scriptural baptism is always public, obedience to the Lord’s command, and by immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit after salvation. It is an obedient act symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe the Lord's Supper is an ordinance mandated by Jesus Himself. The Lord's Supper is symbolic of the body of Christ crucifixion. The bread is broken, to symbolize the body of Christ beaten on the cross and the wine, symbolizes the shedding of the blood of Christ for our sins. We believe we take the Lord's supper often in remembrance of Christ and what he did for all mankind on the cross.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that God has given every individual a plan or calling for their lives if they accept it. When they repent, believe, and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour the Holy Spirit assigns them spiritual gifts based on their calling; that is, the task God called them to perform for his glory.
Fruits of the Spirit
We believe that once an individual has been saved he should be taking on the characteristics of Jesus Christ and producing what is called fruits of the spirit such as love, joy, peace, long suffering (patience), gentleness (kindness), goodness, faith (faithfulness), meekness, and temperance (self-control).
Walking with God
We believe that we have a holy calling to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit in order that we will fulfill the will of God for our lives. The flesh is never eradicated in this life. Individuals must choose to keep the flesh in subjection to Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, or it will surely manifest its presence in life and dishonor our Lord.
Education – Bible Study
We believe that studying the bible is absolutely necessary in the life of a Christian. How can you share the word of God if you don't know the word of God? How can you carry out the duties necessary to perform the Great Commission? And what God has called you to do? The scriptures says in "15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,"2 Timothy 2:15. The bible teaches us that "16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works, "2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Stewardship
We believe In Biblical Stewardship. We believe the Scriptures teach all believers to "utilize and manage all resources God provides for the glory of God." These resources include our treasures, time, talent and tithes:
The Lord’s Day
We believe in faithfulness to the Lord's Day. We believe that Sunday, the first day of the week, is the Lord’s Day from sunrise to sunset. It is a holy day, when we do no work. It is the day we give glory and honor to our God. God rested on the seventh day from all his work; so we believe the seventh day is a day of rest for all mankind to rest from their labor and use Sunday as a day to lift up the name of Jesus, praising and worshiping God for all he has done, is doing and will do if we faint not. We believe Sunday is "God's Day."
The Great Commission
We believe the Lord’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15: John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13-15) is His command to all believers in order to get the "Good News," the gospel to the world. We believe we are "fisher of men" that is, fishing for men's souls in order that they might be saved.
End Times
We Believe In The Second Coming Of Our Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ. The blessed hope, the personal, imminent return of Christ, who will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. This could happen at any moment to catch up His Church and to reward their service to Him. The unbelievers are left behind to go through the seven-year Tribulation Period, after which Christ shall return with His saints to the earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord.
